Over the past year, Savory Institute Accredited Professionals (APs, a.k.a. Holistic Management educators) gathered on three continents to sharpen how they teach and apply Holistic Management, and to strengthen the relationships that hold our global network together. From Zimbabwe to Spain to Chile, each Advanced Training left participants more skilled and more connected.
The first workshop took place in August 2025 at the Africa Centre for Holistic Management (ACHM) in Zimbabwe, welcoming ten participants from four countries. The training focused on brittle tropical landscapes and a central question: how do you integrate livestock under Holistic Planned Grazing when a large and diverse wildlife population already shares the land? Participants moved between classroom dialogue and field-based learning, conducting landscape assessments on-site at ACHM and in a nearby national park. The work also reached a wider audience through EarthX’s Farm Hero television series, with an episode filmed at the training scheduled to air in 2026.
In October 2025, the network gathered again in Oskotz, Spain, hosted by Hub del Norte. Eight participants from across Europe came together for a five-day program that paired classroom discussion with field visits across three distinct ecoregions. That range became the heart of the experience, giving participants a powerful comparative view of how Holistic Management adapts from one context to the next. Much of the week centered on the practical side of being an Accredited Professional, including communication, client engagement, and how to weave HM into the broader regenerative frameworks their clients are already exploring. Along the way, the group strengthened relationships across the European network.
The third workshop was originally planned for December 2025 at Fundo El Renuevo Agricultura Regenerativa in Frutillar, Chile, hosted by Efecto Manada, but moved to June 2026 in the same location to accommodate participants’ schedules. Eleven Accredited Professionals attended, including eight from Chile, two from Ecuador, and one from Spain. The five-day training went deep on the Holistic Management framework itself, with a clear purpose: to help practitioners engage people more effectively in understanding and practicing HM. Field trips to two nearby farms already using Holistic Management gave the group real ground to test that understanding. One of the most valuable outcomes was the camaraderie built among participants across our Spanish-speaking Hubs, bonds that will outlast the training itself.
Three trainings, three landscapes, and a common thread running through all of them. Each session sharpened how our Accredited Professionals teach and apply Holistic Management, and each one reminded us that this work depends as much on people as it does on practice. To every participant, host, and Hub who made these gatherings possible, thank you. The relationships built in Zimbabwe, Spain, and Chile are already rippling outward, carried home by practitioners helping regenerate grasslands and the livelihoods that depend on them.
