Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is included in this giveaway?
In plain language, the winner will receive a free slot on the January 2026 Savory Journey to Dimbangombe, including lodging and meals. Airfare is NOT included. The full list of inclusions/exclusions are as follows:
Inclusions: All meals as stated in the itinerary (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner), double occupancy lodging on the nights of 9 January – 15 January 2026, ground transportation, park and conservancy fees, safaris and game walks, canoe safari, Zambezi dinner cruise. Total estimated value: $4,300 USD
Exclusions: International airfare to/from Victoria Falls International Airport (VFA), optional activities around Victoria Falls, single occupancy add-on cost, tips, personal travel insurance (highly recommended), premium drinks, additional personal travel expenses.
If I donate multiple times or higher amounts, do I get extra entries?
You are more than welcome to donate beyond the minimum amounts specified ($30 monthly gift to Savory, $150 one-time gift to Savory, $450 annual gift to Dimbangombe), but anything beyond this does NOT qualify for additional entries.
We want to ensure that everyone has a fair chance at this giveaway, otherwise one large gift would disproportionately favor that donor to win.
I'm a current Regenerating Member. Do I get an automatic entry?
If you are a current Regenerating Member giving at the $30 (or higher) level per month, you can receive an entry for this contribution but it is not automatic. YOU MUST EMAIL US WITH A DONATION RECEIPT TO ENTER. You can email a previous donation receipt to us at [email protected] and that will count as an entry. You are also eligible to enter in the other two pathways if you would like additional entries.
When does the giveaway end, and when is a winner drawn?
All qualifying donations received by May 15th at midnight Pacific Time will be entered to win the Journey to Dimbangombe giveaway.
Entries will be tallied up the week after the giveaway closes, a winner will be selected at random, and the winner will be notified via email.
If no response is received from the selected winner within one week, a second drawing will happen following the same procedure.
What are my chances of winning?
Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of donors who make a qualifying donation between April 15 and May 15, 2025 at midnight Pacific Time.
Will Allan Savory be there?
Allan splits his time between the US and Zimbabwe, spending a portion of the year in each location. At this time, Allan does not plan on being in Zimbabwe during the dates of this trip, but we will update this if his plans change.
