Itinerary – 10 Days
Day 1 (Friday, December 9) – Welcome to Patagonia!
Arrive at Rio Gallegos International Airport (RGL) in Rio Gallegos, Argentina, transfer to the Hotel Patagonia for the night and enjoy dinner at the hotel. (Dinner)
Day 2 (Saturday, December 10) – Savory Hub, Monte Dinero Farm
Breakfast at the hotel, travel from Rio Gallegos to the Savory Institute Patagonian Hub at the Monte Dinero Farm (2 hours), check into lodging and relax. Following lunch, we will visit the nearby penguin colony, lighthouse and local dogs. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 3 (Sunday, December 11) – Savory Network, Monte Dinero Farm in Action
Introduction to the Savory Network Monte Dinero Farm through contextual Holistic Management presentations, practical demonstrations and exercises directly connected with the key insights on Holistic Management. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 4 (Monday, December 12) – Holistic Context on the Chali Aike Farm
Travel to the town of El Calafate near the edge of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field (8 hours) and check into our hotel. Spend the afternoon on the Chali Aike Farm. Experience the unique aspects of this holistically managed farm through land walks and exploration of the local plants, animals and history of the area. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 5 (Tuesday, December 13) – Perito Moreno Glacier
Visit the world famous Perito Moreno Glacier located in the Los Glaciares National Park in southwest Santa Cruz Province, Argentina. This glacier is one of the most important tourist attractions in the Argentinian Patagonia. In the afternoon and evening enjoy time exploring downtown El Calafate. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 6 (Wednesday, December 14) – El Calafate & El Chaltén
Enjoy breakfast and a relaxing morning around El Calafate with additional tourist activities. In the afternoon we will travel south to the small mountain village of El Chaltén (3 hours) in Santa Cruz Province, Argentina. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 7 (Thursday, December 15) – El Chaltén & Los Glaciares National Park
Enjoy a relaxing day around El Chaltén, Argentina’s trekking capital located at the base of the iconic Cerro Torre and Cerro Fitz Roy mountains. Walk around and explore this extraordinarily beautiful area and take advantage of optional tourist activities in the National Park. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 8 (Friday, December 16) – Rupai Pacha Farm & Torres del Paine National Park, Chile
Travel across the border into Chile and to our lodging at Hostería Las Torres in Torres del Paine National Park (5 hours). Spend the afternoon visiting Rupai Pacha Farm and learn about their projects and contextual journey in Holistic Management through land walks and presentations by the local managers. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 9 (Saturday, December 17) – Los Cerritos Farm
Spend the day on Los Cerritos Farm and learn about their role with Ovis 21 and the sustainable management of the local area. Discuss details related to grazing planning and business collaboration and learn how Holistic Management is being applied to everyday decision making. Enjoy a beautiful evening and farewell dinner at our incredible lodging. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 10 (Sunday, December 18) – Rio Gallegos International Airport
Travel back across the border to Rio Gallegos International Airport (RGL) in Rio Gallegos, Argentina for your afternoon or evening flight home (5 hours). (Breakfast)
