Heifer Ranch

Heifer USA supports small-scale and family farmers in the United States by actively investing in building infrastructure. The healthy, nutritious food they produce can earn them a dignified living and keep them on their land.

Our two-pronged approach — training and supporting socially and economically disadvantaged farmers and building local, sustainable businesses using regenerative farming practices — is the foundation needed for inclusive, rural food systems to thrive and for rural economies to make a comeback.

Heifer Ranch, located in Perryville, AR,  serves as the production and training site for Heifer International’s work in the United States. The 1,200-acre ranch trains farmers in regenerative agriculture and as an accredited Savory Hub, is authorized to teach Holistic Management and conduct EOV testing and monitoring at other farms.

Heifer International’s mission is to end hunger and poverty while caring for the Earth. For over 75 years, we have provided livestock and sustainable agricultural training to struggling communities around the world. We currently work in 21 countries, including the United States, supporting local food producers to expand their businesses and earn a living income.

Our Purpose

The Heifer USA Hub will support farmers in a way that creates opportunities to earn a living income, positively impacts rural communities, and heals the land so that humans, animals, and the environment thrive.
