Holistic Planned Grazing Workshop

Course Description:
This 3-day workshop is designed for grazing planning beginners and for those wanting a refresher course in the basics of holistic grazing planning. The course includes easy-to-learn planning procedures that assist communities to restore their land using properly managed livestock. Participants will learn how to plan and manage where livestock are herded in both the growing and non-growing seasons so that animals remain healthy, safe, and productive while restoring soils and water resources. When more grass grows, livestock have more to eat and more soil is covered, and more rainwater is retained in the soil to feed into the boreholes and non-growing season river flow. Grazing planning for communal areas is our focus!
