Global Field Day: Kendal, Cumbria, UK
June 27, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm UTC+1
£30How to Harness Biology to Improve Land, Health and Profitability
Richard Park and his sister Alison Park of Low Sizergh Farm, a family dairy farm near Kendal, see their story as, “A good news story from the farm.” The farm is currently undergoing a change in land management practices that will enable them to use regenerative methods to make for a thriving, food producing, species-rich landscape.
Part of their plan is to demonstrate that it works, and that others can do it too.
They are keen to host farmers, as well as decision-makers and influencers of agricultural policy at their Global Field Day.
Richard found that learning to read the land is invaluable, “Reading the land is part of the story – it opened my mind to the land I farm.”
