Ecological Land Monitoring Two Day Workshop
June 3, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - June 5, 2017 @ 12:00 am PDT
$127 – $247Learn How to Monitor to Improve Your Land’s Health
Two-Day Hands-On Land Monitoring Training in Bellingham
This comprehensive workshop covers ecological principles with hands-on activities. You will learn practical techniques you can use on your own land.
This workshop focuses on non-irrigated land West of the Cascades. The monitoring principles you will learn can be applied to any type of ecosystem.
What You Will Learn at the Ecological Land Monitoring Workshop
Learn how regular monitoring tracks changes and shows trends so you can determine the impact of your management on the land. When you know what’s happening on your land, you can make better management decisions. Your monitoring data documents the health of your land and tracks changes over time.
In this workshop you’ll get hands-on ecological land monitoring experience. Use the knowledge you gain to start or improve your monitoring program on your own land.
If you do not know how your current management is affecting the ecosystem processes on your land (water cycle, mineral cycle, energy flow, community dynamics), this workshop is for you!
We will practice monitoring on non-irrigated pasture land.
The workshop site, Matheson Farm, has been practicing Holistic Management for over 20 years.
