About
Welcome to the Africa Centre for Holistic Management, where we have dedicated ourselves to combating desertification for over 30 years. Our 3,200-hectare Dimbangombe Conservancy serves as a testament to our success, as we effectively reverse the effects of desertification through a holistic approach. By integrating a carefully managed, diverse livestock herd with a thriving wildlife population, we have created a sustainable ecosystem.
In our conservancy, we have developed innovative methods to protect our livestock from lion, hyena, leopard and Painted Dog. Our predator friendly Boma’s (night enclosures) and low-stress herding techniques ensure the safety and well-being of our animals. It’s worth noting that Dimbangombe Conservancy is not fenced and is surrounded by two million hectares of unfenced parks and safari areas.
In addition to our conservation efforts, Dimbangombe serves as a training and learning centre for community leaders, commercial farmers and ranchers and NGO’s. Each year, we welcome hundreds of individuals to participate in our various “Holistic Management” and “Community Dynamics” programs developed in collaboration with the Savory Institute, which focus on the specific needs and circumstances of commercial and community subsistence farmers who live and graze on communal lands. The curriculum we offer has been widely adopted throughout Southern Africa and beyond.
We invite you to visit us and experience the wonders of Dimbangombe Ranch. Choose from a range of comfortable lodging options and savour delicious home-cooked meals. Whenever possible, we source ingredients from our very own ranch butchery and gardens. Alongside ranch tours, we provide a variety of activities that showcase the wildlife and offer thrilling adventures. You can explore both the ranch and the nearby Victoria Falls, one of the seven wonders of the world, immersing yourself in nature and enjoying unforgettable experiences.
Join us in our mission to preserve the environment, support sustainable agriculture, and create a better future for our planet.
